Peace Officer Salary

Starting annual salary of $32,000.00.   

$4,000.00 per year incentive upon completion of basic police academy.

 

Dispatch Salary

Starting annual salary of $31,802.16

Peace Officer Professional (POPS) Standards 

 

• Be a U.S. citizen.

• Be at 21 years of age.

• Be a high school graduate or equivalent and provide copies of transcripts and diploma.

• Have an honorable discharge if prior military.

• No felony convictions.

• Be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Be of high moral character.

• Be a law abiding citizen of sobriety and integrity.

• Authorized by law to carry a firearm.

• Pass written examination.

• Pass a physical agility test that meets or exceeds the KentuckyDepartment of Criminal Justice (DOCJT) Peace Officer Professional (POP) standards.

• Complete an oral interview.

• Pass a background investigation.

• Pass a polygraph examination.

• Pass a medical examination.

• Complete 23 week basic police academy in Richmond, Ky.

• Sign 3 year contract with City of Radcliff.

 

 

 

 

Telecommunications Professional Standards (TPS)

• Be a citizen of the United States.

• Be at least 18 years of age.

• Be a high school graduate or equivalent and provide copies of transcripts and diploma.

• No felony convictions or other crimes involving moral turpitude.

• Pass a drug screen test.

• Pass a background investigation.

• Pass a psychological examination.

• Pass a polygraph examination.

• Be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Complete an oral interview.

• Complete a 5 week telecommunications academy in Richmond, Ky.
